West Seattle

West Seattle—the city's biggest neighborhood—has probably been the fast growing neighborhood in recent years. It wasn’t too long ago that Seattle residents considered West Seattle “the sticks” and consequently it took a while for the rest of the city to realize what a gem of a community there was “just across the bridge”.

Clearly, that is no longer the case and West Seattle is a bustling mini-city within the larger City of Seattle. West Seattle is home to four separate neighborhoods, each well known in their own right: Admiral, Alki, Fauntleroy and Delridge. Alki is probably most well-known throughout a wider circle because Alki is where people go for fun on the beach, roller-blading, and delicious eats in sidewalk cafes.

However, Alki is not the only thriving neighborhood in West Seattle. All West Seattle neighborhoods can highlight their family-friendly communities, outstanding restaurants and local gathering places and great shopping. In fact, many West Seattle residents proudly claim that they don’t need to cross the bridge into downtown for any reason anymore. Great schools, great shopping, great quality of life – West Seattle has it all.
