Geogretown/Southpark

South of Seattle and off the Duwamish River, South Park has some of the most affordable real estate in the city. It is affordable because it has been a primarily industrial neighborhood for many years. However, the neighborhood has been evolving into a great little residential community with a lot of community activism and entrepreneurial spirit. Additionally, the Mayor of Seattle recently announced a $1.75 million investment in the South Park neighborhood to continue to foster the neighborhood revitalization. The investment will go towards neighborhood-backed programs focused on youth, transportation, and the environment.

Georgetown is another neighborhood South of the city and with an industrial flavor. But is has also attracted artists and businesses that appeal to artists. The internationally acclaimed band Pearl Jam calls Georgetown home and have recently joined with other community activists in engaging in community dialogue with the City of Seattle about the future development of this up and coming neighborhood.

Georgetown is well connected to major arterials and highways in the region and getting into downtown Seattle or out onto I-5 is a breeze.
