GreenWood
Greenwood and Phinney Ridge are neighboring communities and they share a single commercial district. Geographically, Greenwood is just north of Phinney Ridge and the Woodland Park Zoo, and though it has a different identity than Phinney Ridge, residents of the two communities work together on many community projects.
Greenwood is not quite as “hip” as some other Seattle neighborhoods, but neither is it as staid as others. It’s an old fashioned community with new blood helping shape its future. It is home to many young families and older retirees. Greenwood is host to the Greenwood Classic Car & Rod Show each June and its diverse merchant base continues to draw shoppers from all over the city.
The neighborhood also hosts the Greenwood/Phinney ArtWalk every spring. Over 40 local businesses participate in the event each year.
