Shoreline

Early in its history, Shoreline evolved as a lumber and farming town. Many of the residents actually commuted to other cities to work. But the city kept attracting residents looking for good place to live and raise children. Echo Lake was a popular summer and winter destination in the early years of Shoreline’s history. Located just north of Seattle, Shoreline officially became incorporated into a city in 1995. One of the driving forces behind the residents’ decision to incorporate was the concern that Shoreline’s well respected schools would be swallowed up by the Seattle School District. Shoreline’s schools still provide one of its biggest draws for new residents.

You will find a wide range of homes and communities in Shoreline – ranging from wealthy waterfront homes to modest homes that a young family could afford. With nearly 400 acres of parklands, Shoreline offers great experiences to outdoor lovers including multiple nature trails, swimming pools, and spectacular views of Puget Sound.
