Magnolia

Magnolia is a quiet neighborhood in the West part of Seattle, with a quaint little retail area known as The Village. On West McGraw Street, the Magnolia village shopping district offers a pleasing yet ordinary selection of stores and restaurants, and serves as the neighborhood’s busy social hub.

Fisherman's Terminal, across from Ballard on Salmon Bay, is another fun place to eat and shop while watching fishing boats come and go. Built in 1911, the terminal is home to the Alaskan fishing fleet.

Magnolia is also host to some of the city's most view-centric parks. Discovery Park, on the neighborhood's northwest side, is the city's largest park and offers unparalleled views of wildlife including eagles, herons, falcons, foxes and beavers. Seven miles of trails provide visitors with a wilderness experience and inspiring views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

On the south end of the neighborhood lies Magnolia Park, which overlooks Mount Rainier and the city skyline. The park provides a picnic area and tennis courts, and a great place to watch fireworks explode over Elliott Bay on the 4th of July.
