Yarrow Point
Yarrow Point is another tiny, but independent community on the Eastside. Yarrow Point has only 405 households with a population of just over 1,000 residents. But the residents elect their mayor and five-member Town Council, which promises "to prudently preserve and enhance Yarrow Point's environment and to actively encourage community involvement in government."
Yarrow Point is definitely an upper-class community with the median home price at $800,000 and the median family income at $126,000 a year. Yarrow Point is bordered by the cities of Kirkland, Clyde Hill, Medina, and the Town of Hunts Point. The Wetherill Nature Preserve is the largest community attraction – it’s a 16-acre wetland preserve with multiple trails and home to a variety of birds and other marine life.
